I am raising funds for a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.
When I found out that my beautiful boy Johnno was seriously ill with childhood liver disease I didn’t want to sit around feeling sorry myself so I decided to fundraise for Clancy Ward at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where Johnno was a patient.
The money raised goes towards the purchase of equipment such as, paediatric monitoring machines, prams, wheelchairs and occupational therapy chairs.
Forever Johnno also fully funds the Transplant Play Room in Clancy Ward which includes a large screen TV, gaming consoles, games, ipads, toys and activities. Funds are also directed to supporting transplant nursing education.
After enduring 2 liver transplants my son tragically lost his fight with liver disease and passed away in 2008 at the age of 9.
The community has continued to support my fundraising over the years and I am very appreciative of that.
This year I am aiming to raise $21,000 to honour Johnno’s 23rd birthday and support the other sick kids in Clancy Ward.
